Crusades on September 11

On September 11, 2001 President George W. Bush delivered a speech. In the speech, he said “This crusade, this war on terror is going to take a while.” The word Crusade in this statement caused concern in Europe and the Middle East. Bush’s use of the word Crusade also worried and outrage people because the war on terror would be against more people than only those responsible for the attacks on September 11, 2001.

Alexander the Great

Hellenistic culture started when King Phillip II conquered ancient Greece. Then King Phillip II got killed by his bodyguard. Then his son Alexander the Great took over his fathers position and conquered ancient Egypt, Persia, and Greece. One technique Alexander the Great use to conquer enemies is the siege tower. Hellenistic culture is the combination of ancient Greece, ancient Egypt, and Persia. Hellenistic culture happened because Alexander the Great conquered all three of the countries and made it one religion.
